Logging into Paypal Manager as part of setting up Paypal Pro to take card payments on my website

I am going the process of configuring my website to use Paypal Pro to accept card payments.  I am almost there, accept I don't know what the Partner Id is.  Is it a unique Id that Paypal provides, is it an Id that already exists in my Paypal settings. Where does it come from? So far no help has been provided and I'm stuck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance 🙂

Hi there Victorianminis,

Welcome to the Community!

If you are being asked to enter a partner id on your PayPal account, you might need to try contacting us directly and we can provide the number to you while you are on the phone with us.

To get in contact with customer services, you can try clicking the Contact Us icon and then the Call Us option.

David.

Hi Whiteface,

Welcome to the PayPal community forum. New members are always welcome.

If you are signed up for PayPal Pro you would have been given login details for the PayPal manager (Merchant ID). If this is something you are looking to apply for you should contact our business development specialist team on

 0844 338 0470.

I hope this helps and thanks for posting

Is this riddle solved now? I'm having the same problem now, as I just set up my PayPal Pro account. So to confirm:

Partner: (should we input 'PayPal', or something else?)

Merchant Login: (Is this the merchant ID we were assigned?)

Password: (Is this the same password as our new PayPal Pro account, or something new we need to set up for PayPal Manager?)

Also, since I just set up the Pro account, do I need to wait for the pro account to be approved or something?

Please kindly advise. Thanks a lot!

To help with the confusion, the credentials for Payflow or PayPal Manager; Partner and ogin/Merchant ID, are only needed if you signed up for a PayPal Payments Pro account, either online at PayPal Payments Pro or by contacting Sales and the account is based in the US, CA or AU regions.

If you created your account at the URL above, you would have created your Login/Merchant ID and password and these would not be your PayPal email address and password.  It would have been on the Business Information page, and you would have been asked to create a PayPal Manager Login and password.  You would also have recieved an email explaining the Partner ID and PayPal Manager.

If you had called Sales, they would have asked you to create a PayPal Manager ID and explained this all to you.

To clarify, if you are the person who created the PayPal account and you did not enter in a secondary ID during the registration process or the Sales person did not ask you for PayPal Manager ID, you probably do not have a PayPal Payments Pro account and this is why you are confused.  BTW, the Partner ID would be PayPal.   However, if you are not the person who created the PayPal account, you should probably reach out to that person and ask them for this information.

So, if you application or shopping cart is asking you for your PayPal Manager credentials; Partner, Merchant ID (vendor), User and Password and you don't have a PayPal Payments Pro account, you'll need to reach out to Sales at PayPal and ask them to either convert your account or help you setup the right type of account.

I hope this helps.
