I am very confused as to what is possible - all I want to do is create a simple voucher code called say voucher10 and allow customer to apply this at checkout but i cannot see how to do this.. I found this documentation:

https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xpt/Merchant/merchant/GCIntro-outside

which indicates it should be possible but none of the mentioned options are available on my profile ??

Hi rfollett

I too am looking for a similar solution. Any joy yet?

The link you provided is hwo to set up a Gift Voucher; these do not resolve my problem because it means someone has to pay for the Gift Voucher first and that defeats the outcome of the exercise.

Hi rfollett and EyeManSonny,

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you both on this.

I believe that the link I've provided below may help with providing the option to apply a discount code or coupon at checkout:

https://developer.paypal.com/webapps/developer/docs/classic/express-checkout/ht_ec-coupons-loyalty-p...

There are also some tutorials available here which may help, in particular Applying Discounts to a Buy Now Button and PayPal Coupon Codes for PayPal Payments Standard (PPS):

https://developer.paypal.com/docs/classic/training/

If you have any further questions or difficulty at all, you can contact our colleagues at Merchant Technical Support on Twitter @PayPal_MTS.

Hope this helps 🙂

Sophie

I have used 1 & 1 to produce a site. The site builder allows you to add the PayPal mini shop app but how do you get it to recognise a discount code?

I didn't understand any of what the link should (of course I'm not a coder).  Is there any way to just plain out create codes?  Or can you at least show an easier to understand graphic?

TIA

I would also like to enable a discount code on my website for customers. I followed the link provided but quickly found that the level of knowledge needed to implement the steps is WAY beyond me. Surely PayPal can make a little wizard which will create the code so I can send it to my developer?
