Do I have to have a set currency amount for my button to work? The reason I ask is that my website asks for the User to make a charge based on a percentage of the totalo amount. As far as I know, you do need to have a set currency amount in order for your button to work. As there are so many different currencies available on the PayPal website, you will need to ensure that the correct one is integrated with the button on your website.
What you're asking about would required a bit of custom scripting whereas the calculations needed would be performed on your web page or site first, then the results would be passed to PayPal. In other words, just using the online button creator won't work, the button code would need to be custom coded.
