I sold an item on ebay for £0.25. Paypal has taken £0.21 as a fee which leaves me with £0.04. I'm sure then when ebay take their fee I will be out of pocket. Why is the paypal fee so high at 84% ???

Paypal fee is 3.4% + 20p so its the 20p that is the killer if you are selling low cost items.
If you are going to continue selling low cost items then you need to phone customer services and ask for a 'micropayment account' >>

Thank you for clearing that you. knew about the percentage but for some reason didnt read about the 20p on top which now makes sense. I will have to remember not to sell anything that cheap anymore if i am just going to be giving things away
