Customer collecting paid by Paypal

Hi It's been a while since I sold on eBay but recently listed some things including some which need collection. I meant to put cash on collection only as I know it used to be the case that a buyer could collect and thenot claim they didn't have the item and paypal would refund them. Could anyone advise if this still the case? If so I'll refund and ask for cash on collection.

You can only refund and ask for cash on collection if you have listed cash on collection only, if you have not done so then you need to ask your buyer if they are happy to do that (try and ask before they pay), and if not cancel the transaction.

And yes you have no seller protection for collect items.
