At the end of Oct/11 I bought a $260US clothes steamer from an eBay seller who claimed to be an authorized reseller for the steamer company. They had almost 20K postive feed back and had had the store open for some time. I paid via Paypal immediately after I bought the item and was told it would take some time for it to arrive as it was coming to Canada from the southern US, customs etc. Fine.
Well, fast forward 6-8 weeks and the steamer never arrived. I contacted them and they gave me the run around. I asked them to provide proof of shipment, which they did not, and any further attempts my myself to contact them were ignored.
Because the ludicrously short dispute time for Paypal issues (20 days) elapsed before the steamer was due here and I became worried out it, I'm basically out of luck. They won't look at it, the dispute is closed automatically and I have to eat $260USD.
Never again.
