Was on phone with Paypal for 1 1/2 hours concerning a payment they made to a merchant without my authorization , they said any merchant I did business with in the past can claim money and they will pay if I do not agree with this change payment company

Check if you had a subscription set up.
Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > "manage pre-approved payments.''
