seller repeatedly not arranging repair within warranty period

We bought a pushchair in February for over £250. It has a 2 year manufacturer's warranty. The pushchair started to collapse during use where it folds up (not putting our child at risk but it is not sturdy). It must have been about 6 months after purchase. We have contacted the seller (not manufacturer) to collect for repair. They have failed to arrange a courier at least twice, agreed to arrange collections and ignored the replies with a date on a few more occasions. It is now 2 months later and we still can't get it collected. We had another failed collection yesterday. Would we be able to use the fact we paid through paypal to seek a refund so we can buy another pushchair? We are going on holiday early next month and need it as it is compact.

You only have up to 180 days on PayPal to open a dispute for non receipt of item OR item received but not as described.

Warranties are between you and the merchant and if they won't help you then you may be able to open a small claims court action.

That's what I thought from the info I had seen. Does it make any difference if it was bought via Paypal Credit?

Hi everyone!! Welcome to the PayPal Community Forum. I'm sorry to hear an item you purchased recently isn't working quite as advertised. Thank you @kernowlass for your help detailing our Purchase Protection. We appreciate it!

@matineeidle, that's a great follow-up question. From my understanding, unfortunately no, it wouldn't usually make a difference. However, you're welcome to reach out to their Customer Support teams to see if there's any other advice they can offer.

Best wishes!

Thanks. That is interesting as there is advice online on moneysavingexpert.co.uk states that there is S75 protection in the same way as a credit card: "Do I get Section 75 protection if I use Paypal Credit? If you use PayPal Credit to buy something you ARE protected. In 2016, PayPal introduced Paypal Credit to the UK. This is a digital line of credit you can add to your PayPal wallet - essentially a virtual equivalent to a credit card. Using funds from this pot to pay online gives you BOTH Section 75 cover and PayPal protection." I'll contact customer services for clarification. Thanks again.
