"Credit Receipt" Question

Seller agreed to refund in email for my deposit then backtracked. Filed dispute, now PP wants this; "Please provide a copy of the receipt that details your credit." Have not received a credit. Seller gamesmanship? Cannot provide a receipt for something I don't have. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Hello @9HKH9

Congratulations on your first post in the Community!

I'm sorry to hear that you haven't received your refund yet and have been asked to supply documents you may not have. When we request a credit receipt, we're looking for documentation showing the seller promised you a refund. A screenshot/photo of the email where the seller agreed to refund you typically works. Please make sure your uploaded photos include the seller's email address and any other contact details possible. This will help our team determine that the email was from the same seller you've filed a dispute for.

I hope you receive your refund soon!

- Meghan

just wondering why when the supporting document I opened my case with was a downloaded email FROM the merchant stating that they had sent the refund that was never sent, they still asked for "a credit receipt"
