Why would you do that?  You took his word for the fact it couldn't be repaired?

Then you let him keep your PS3?   I would never let someone keep equipment they claimed they couldn't repair.  For all you know, he fixed it and is now paying you $65 for a perfectly working machine.  In other words there is a very good chance you are about to get ripped off.

I take it you paid the repair fee already as well?  If that is indeed the case, was there any promise of a refund if not happy with the service?  If his Ebay advertisement had any promise of "satisfaction guaranteed" or the like, I would recontact the seller, deny the $65, and ask for the return of your PS3. DO NOT refund him the money out of your account.  If you refund the money out of your account, he can then contest the payment and you will lose again. If he asks you to do that, DO NOT DO IT!  Contact PayPal support and get their advice on how to proceed.

Smart choice:  Refuse the $65, Demand your PS3 back.  Contact PayPal support and have them advise you on how to proceed.  Have it on their system that you are worried about the transaction and are worried you may be about to get scammed.

But suffice it to say, don't take that $65, Get your PS3 back, try someone else.  $65 is a lot to pay for a parts machine PS3.  Chances are, he's stealing your PS3, and he's setting you up to lose another $65.  Walk away.

This has so many red flags going off, I wouldn't trust him at all.
