how long does it take to give a resolution?

I have a case open since February 6 regarding an item not received. The estimated resolution date was yesterday, February 26, but today it was extended to March 2. What is the maximum time they usually take, it is worth mentioning that I have not received updates on the case nor have they requested anything additional from me.

Did you escalate to a claim? If so then paypal sometimes allow the seller more time especially if its an international transaction.

They sometimes also push back if they have a lot of claims to deal with.
