Hello, @42Bear. PayPal absolutely appreciates you wanting to provide information about a suspicious message you received. I'm sorry you've had any difficulty doing that, however. I hope the following information is helpful.
For SMS (text) messages specifically, you can forward any suspicious message to 7726 (which spells out SPAM on a keypad). For email messages and to report fake websites or other information that may be connected to potential fraud, you can forward an email or send a message to spoof@paypal.com.
Please check out https://www.paypal.com/au/smarthelp/article/faq438 for more information and guidance on how to handle suspicious messages.
I hope this is helpful. Thanks for being a part of the PayPal Community!
Sincerely,
Michael
