Unfair account suspension ( permanent )

So this issue happened way back in 2022. But I did not bother about it but I wanted to raise this issue now.
I had opened this account in 2022 and everything was going fine with the account.
Back in 2022 ( October ), a friend of mine had participated as a guest speaker at a tech conference in chicago, and the payment for which was supposed to be sent to him, the medium of which he did not possess at the time. So he had asked me to recieve the payment on his behalf. After this payment was made, PayPal flagged my account and raised suspicion and despite my efforts of explaining this scenario to them, they premanently limited my account.
While it is understandable to suspect an account because there was a sudden one time transaction from a different country, but suspending my account permanently is just outrageous!

Please help @community. What should i do in this case? I would like to use PayPal for future usecases.

Paypal does not suspend you just for receiving a payment from another country, there would have been another reason.

You can rarely appeal a permanent ban but if you want to try an appeal then contact customer services.

They 'may' pass it to the back office but the chances of the appeal being successful are slim. Paypal state that the decision is not made lightly and once made is usually final.
