Dear Community Members,
Reference ID: PP-L-414179239747
I hope you are all doing well. I am writing this post to address the recent permanent limitation placed on my PayPal account due to my sale of dried Amanita Muscaria mushroom. I believe it is crucial to shed light on some essential facts surrounding this issue.
Firstly, I would like to clarify that Amanita Muscaria mushroom is legal in most countries around the world, including the USA, UK, Germany, France, Canada, and many others. This information was clearly stated in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section of my shop. Furthermore, to ensure compliance with the law, I had a strict policy in place to cancel and refund any orders originating from countries with legal restrictions on Amanita Muscaria.
It is disheartening to find my account permanently limited while witnessing other shops openly selling similar products without any repercussions. The lack of consistency in PayPal's enforcement of policies raises concerns about fairness and transparency.
I have come across several other shops that are still actively selling Amanita Muscaria without facing any limitations :
https://amanitamuscaria.lv/
http://https://amanitamarket.com/
https://amanita-cz-pl-lt-uk-usa.com/
https://calmmushroom.shop/
As I cannot directly communicate with PayPal at the moment, I am reaching out to the community for support and understanding.
If anyone has faced a similar situation or has insights into how to resolve this matter, your advice and guidance would be immensely appreciated.
Moreover, I am open to suggestions on how to appeal this decision or seek clarification regarding the reasons behind the permanent limitation.
Thank you for taking the time to read this post and for any assistance you can provide. Together, let's strive for fairness and just treatment within the PayPal platform.
Sincerely, Shroommate

Hi @shroommate and welcome,
I do regret to hear that such a decision has been made on your account. When we make the decision to permanently limit an account it is not based on just one thing. A full review of the account is made and lots of things are taken into consideration before making a decision. Generally, once a decision like this is made it is a final decision as we do not make these decisions lightly. However, if you feel a wrong decision has been made you do have the option to appeal. You can do this by contacting us directly and stating why you wish to appeal. Once an appeal has been placed a full review will be done again on your account and a decision made.
I hope this helps,
Paula

Hello @ikirai,
Welcome to PayPal Community Forum and thank you for posting!
I am sorry to hear about the permanent limitation on your account. I understand this can be frustrating. Typically if an account has been permanent limited, then some part of our agreement has been broken, but without being able to see the account, I would not be able to share any details as we cannot any account related information on this platform for security reasons. If you believe that there was a mistake, you can request a second look at the basis for the limitation decision and review if there is anything that was missed. If there is a mistake found, it can be corrected. If the decision is upheld however, there would be no further avenue for appeal, as a permanent limitation is final. In this case, I would suggest reaching out to PayPal Customer Support using any of the options found here, as they will be able to provide more direct assistance.
Regards,
Ayesha
