Storm Media Limited, Fraud?

As I was going through my receipts for taxes I noticed an entry on my PayPal for Storm Media Limited for last July. I order art instructional videos often, but I could not find any other info for this. I was charged $24.92.

Has anyone else had problems with Storm Media Limited? I didn't get whatever this company said I ordered. I don't know what it is.

I would like to warn others that this could be a fraud.

We received our product in about 2 weeks because it was individually shipped from China. Thought we were never going to receive it after reading these posts but we received it and it works (cell phone holder for car air vent.)

Very happy you weren't one of the ones Storm Media or their other aliases scammed out of their money.

They're a company owned by a gentleman in China. He has several other names he sells things under on Instagram and on Facebook. This company Banks on pretty much knowing that if and when you get your item, because the return shipping is so costly, you won't return it to them. Contact PayPal directly by phone and file a case against Storm Media. Follow EXACTLY how PayPal instructs you regarding filing the case and returning the item. DO NOT close the case for any reason, because PayPal will not let you reopen the case and all info you submitted to them will be lost. Why PayPal continues to allow this company to continue using their services to defraud people is a mystery. I hope you'll receive your item soon. If not, call PayPal, and also email them to have proof you're trying to resolve the issue as they'll instruct you.

I purchased products from Shopdaynnights at the end of November. I paid through Paypal. My product never arrived and when i started doing research i found out that Paypal are and have been aware of this being a bogus company yet they still allowed the transaction. i have contacted Shopdaynnights but i know now that i am never going to hear from them. I have also reported it to Paypal and because of their knowledge of this scam company i am expecting a full refund. I am so so disappointed with Paypal which i’ve used on many occasions and i am just trying to warn people not to purchase from Storm media limited also known as Shopdaynnights and also advertises under the name Vicky’s Picks

How do I open a dispute with a seller when a purchase goes wrong?

You can open a dispute in the Resolution Centre of your PayPal account within 180 days of payment if:
•You don’t receive the item
•You receive an item but it’s significantly different than the description on eBay or on the seller’s website

By opening a dispute, you can communicate directly with your seller to work out a problem transaction.

If you reach an agreement with the seller you can close the dispute. If you're still not happy with the result, you can escalate the dispute into a claim. We'll review the claim and decide on reimbursement.

These steps apply to Personal accounts. If you have a Business account, please log in to see the steps that apply to you.

To open a dispute:
1.Log in to your PayPal account.
2.Near the bottom of the page, under 'More about your account', click Resolve a problem in our Resolution Centre.
3.Click Dispute a Transaction.
4.Select the button beside the transaction you want to dispute, then click Continue.
5.Select ‘Item dispute’, click Continue and follow the on-screen instructions.

Note:
•Generally buyers must wait at least 7 days from the date of payment to escalate a dispute for an item not received
•Where an item has not been received, please ensure you have given the seller enough time before opening a dispute

https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/first-dispute

DO NOT CLOSE THE DISPUTE UNTIL YOU HAVE A CLEARED REFUND OR YOUR ITEM WHATEVER THE SELLER SAYS. ALSO DON'T FORGET TO ESCALATE THE DISPUTE TO A CLAIM WITHIN 20 DAYS IF THE SELLER DOES NOT REFUND.

If that does not work then if you funded your paypal payment via a card then contact your card issuer and see if they will do a chargeback for you.

Milford, the same thing happened to me.  I reached out 7-8x to Storm Media and was finally told 6 weeks after my Nov. 2018 purchase it was delayed, then in late Dec. 2018 when I gave up finally filed a dispute with PayPal they gave them a bogus shipper number dated the day after my order, contradicting their apology and message to me confirming that my order did not ship.  Another time in this frustrating process, they gave me a fake tracker # to Los Angeles, and I live in Oklahoma, which I reported only to receive a message of smiley faced emojis through FaceBook. I was then told to contact the shipper directly, who's name they never provided, nor a corrected tracker number to check their system.  Ever.  Of course, they could not give PayPal a Proof of Delivery since there wasn't one, yet PayPal sided with them even though I have copies of FB messages and emails to them directly supporting my claim.  This fiasco has made me skittish about using PayPal in the future, and I may deactivate my account since they do not protect their users, even with written documentation to support a bonafide claim.  Therefore, my account was charged, yet I never received the product which is fraudulent. Buyer Beware!

I ordered 7 mobile phone car mounts and was offered additional ones for much less (as I checked out). Instead of 8 of the aforementioned, 4 different items were added to my cart and paid for, before I could view it. There was no contact number for the merchant, so I called Paypal to disputed the unauthorized charges. This means one has to change your password🤨. I called a number on the website that was listed under BBB info and it doesn't work; wrote a detailed complaint to the company via the same website....it would not "send"....no place on the page to "submit" the written complaint. I'll get my money back from Paypal, but during Xmas time I could use the $122.00 back now. I would advise you not to order from this company. Very frustrating not to be able to speak with a representative, to straighten out the matter.
