Solving a "open-dispute'

Hi everyone,

I've recently encountered an issue where I wish for a refund on my transaction, and have wrongly opened a case for review as Unauthorized Payment. Upon further providing details and clarification to the resolution center team, the case has now been deemed closed (as it doesn't comply with the listed regulations).

Having said this, although the transaction case is deemed close, there is still a message on the report that reflects an "open dispute", which seems to be the issue barring the seller from providing me with a refund, or from any action in that matter. I have contacted the seller to try to resolve the "open dispute" via the resolution center, but the sum of money, including our available options/actions, all seem to be locked until further notice.

How may I resolve such an "open dispute" when my case has been closed by the team, and ultimately allow the seller to refund me?
