Scammers used my account to make payments via Friends and Family. 11 £100 payments to various addresses. I did not authorise these payments. PayPal are saying they are not responsible and are refusing to refund. Surely this should have been flagged as suspicious activity?

That would depend on how you were hacked, ie if you were responsible in some way or not.

It was a telephone scam and they gained access to my accounts. I have a crime number and had no control over what they did. Thank you for your response.

So did you give them Paypal account information over the phone for them to access your paypal account at all?
