Hi Team,

I hope you're doing well.

I have seen that my account is permanently limited. I just received the payment from my client last night. I just completed the order and my client paid me. When I received that payment and got a notification that my account is limited for a security reason and if I have to send or receive money i have to upload photo id and purpose of payment. When I submitted that my account was permanently limited. Can you please have a look and let me know how i can access my account.

Normally you can't appeal a permanent limitation however if you want to try then contact customer services to appeal?

Get a lawyer and pass info on to state attorney generals office. That is what I am having to do. Josh [removed]'s office, here in NC, said to save everything and provide them with documentation. PayPal is getting a reputation for this.

Same here.

They won't allow me to do anything without providing photo id. They won't justify why. I only have a driving licence which I consider confidential so I am unwilling to share.

I want to delete my account and I can't.

Had someone pay into it today and I now have to sort that mess out too.

They suck the sweat off a dead man's balls.

When I was 14 my parents set up a PayPal account for me, using my email and my phone number, so I could buy video games on my computer with my pocket money. PayPal restricted my account unless I could provide a bank statement or some other form of ID. I waited until I turned 18 and provided said bank statement and transferred they ONE-HUNDRED dollars still left in there back to my dad. Even though I provided them with the documents they asked for, I'm now 19 and I'm banned from using PayPal forever. It's unfair in a number of ways and I don't know how to fix it. They aren't making it easy.

Paypal does not allow account holders under the age of 18.

PayPal asks for a birth date when you register so whilst you can make a PayPal account with false information the account will need to be verified to accept funds into your balance or lift any limits.
As you would be unable to verify your account it would be permanently locked for further use.

You would never be able to use that illegally opened underage account again but once 18 Paypal may allow you to do a withdrawal of funds from that account or allow you to open a new account and transfer the funds across for you. Opening a new account is not guaranteed as you have already broken their rules once but you should get one of those options.
