Refusal of refund on unauthorized money transfer

I recently discovered that someone transferred at total of @$240.00 to another human being from my account that had been compromised by someone hacking in and adding an email to the account.

2 separate transactions were made, the first was $100.00, the second $140.00. I filed a case in the resolution center and was denied both the first time, I appealed and believe it or not, I received $100.00 saying that whoever it was who took the money received it by error returned it to me. Since PayPal is aware of this incident and knows that I didn't do this because of the refund from the person.

PayPal is trying to bully me, they refuse to help, I want my $140.00 and yet I am systematically denied when I go back to appeal it. I bring it to you as PayPal obviously doesn't give a **bleep** about any of us even though they suck their fees out of you and hold money left and right, they refuse to budge when they in fact are wrong.

I am going to the media as well as fike criminal charges against Pay Pay as theri negagence allowed a thief to steal my money and they cover for them, why? The customer service ladt informed me that this person has a negative balance right now. Is that my problem?

Has anyone else dealt with such incomitance here ayt PayPal so I can possibky not feel targeted.

I have indeed and just got off the phone with them and they see California accessed my account. I'm in Maryland. They still refuse to pay.

My account got compromised too. Someone hacked in, add a debit card, transferred my balance and removed that card within two minutes. PayPal denied my dispute and appeal and claimed it's a final decision. My thoughts is PayPal didn't provide enough security for users. Any progress on your case?

Yes. PayPal refused up until I informed them I had an appointment with a news caster at the television station as she loves a David vs Goliath fight. I received it 12 hours later.

The customer service kept telling me it's a final decision. I filed a claim on BBB yesterday and received the "final final decision" and refund 5 minutes ago.

I realize this is an old thread, but i just woke up today to find two emails from paypal overnight that two withdrawals were made from my paypal balance.  About $1100 total.  called paypal right away and logged a case and the girl i spoke to said yup, this looks like fraud.  Somebody hacked into my pp account and added a bank account and then transferred all my funds.  Within an hour of the case bing created i received a denial email.  I then called back to start an appeal, the person was not overly helpful and said the appeal can take some time.

I see many cases on here where paypal denies their customers the refunds and noticed you said something about contacting local tv station about this sort of thing.  May i ask who you spoke to at paypal with the threat to go to a tv station?  I plan to do the same if i get my appeal denied as well as better business bureau complaints.  I actually know somebody who works for a local tv station and radio, so my threat wont be a bluff.

Same thing happened to me, 3 transactions I didn't make, one did get refunded but then two towards Discord (I have never put money or payment information into Discord) and PayPal refuses to refund those and claimed they "weren't unauthorized"
