Refund of purchasing at scammer website huffybicycles.cc

1. Feb 8. I bought a bike on Feb 8 on the website: huffybicycles.cc. The website is a fraud and they pretend official website of Huffy bicycles. This website is using PayPal as a payment system. But it's never requested login to a PayPal account during payment and that's why I paid it under a guest account (that I knew from a PayPal agent). I paid $100. And I got an email from PayPal with a description of the item: donation.
2. Feb 8. I did contact PayPal support in few minutes after purchase. I've described my situation and mentioned the donation in the email. PayPal Agent #1 told me I need wait for a week (for delivery time and contact the seller) and after that PayPal will refund me. Also, she told me that the seller could not get my money for 21 days.
3. Feb 16. I contacted PayPal support again. PayPal agent #2 told me because this is a donation they can not refund it. But she has created a dispute for my case. And the same day I got an email from PayPal that case was denied because the purchase is ineligible for PayPal Purchase Protection according to our User Agreement.
4. Feb 17. I contacted PayPal support again. PayPal agent #3 told me there is no Purchase Protection. But she promised me that create another ticket to solve my problem. But I didn't get any email and don't know the status
5. Feb 23. 15 days of trying to refund my money. Merchant website still works and could fool other people by using PayPal. I tried to contact "seller" several times but the phone is unavailable, my order status is "pending" on their website.

There is no paypal buyer protection for donations OR guest payments.

Paypal 'may' open a dispute for you to encourage the seller to refund you but they can't refund you under buyer protection for either of the above reasons.

Your best bet is if you funded that payment via a credit card then reach out to your card issuer and see if they will chargeback for you.

I just got scammed by the same website. Wish id seen this prior.

I placed the order for the Bike. Itc created 2 duplicate invoices.

I proceeded with purchasing through one invoice thinking it was a glitch and they would delete the other two invoices.

When the payment was processed there was no immediate reciept. Hmmm

I go to my Paypal account and see a transaction to an individual for the same dollar amount but it shows as a donation and not a product purchase.

The next day i recieve some kind of email with a blank generic reciept with no information it or amount.

This website is an absolute scam!! stay away.

Im trying to get a refund from Paypal and its like pulling teeth.

Good luck!!

Sorry to hear that, unfortunately paypal kinda supports scammers. This paypal account is still alive 😞

I tried to solve this issue with paypal support, but this is just a waste of time. Currently, my bank is trying to solve the problem.

Hi, I wish I did a little more research before placing my order. I just placed plan order on 3/27 contacted the vendor for another reason and found out the number was incorrect/unavailable. My order is still pending but no money has been taken from my account. Can you tell me if PayPal was able to help?

This exact same thing happened to me at a site that seemed to be a Huffy bicycle site. Paypal denied the dispute and the charge showed as a donation. I accidentally ordered two bikes. The Paypal transaction provided an email for the seller. I emailed the seller and they did indicate they would refund me the price of one bike and send the bike in 7-10 days. I never got the bike or refund.

I also just got scammed by the same website. Paypal needs to shut down this "seller's" account! Paypal must be benefitting from the scammer continuing to do this.
