I am waiting to receive payment from someone in the US and I am in the UK. They said that I need to pay a fee in order to receive the payment, however I cannot see on my profile or wallet at all where I accept the fee and pay?

You’re being scammed. PayPal does not require you to pay their fees upfront in order to see a payment in your account. When someone REALLY pays, PayPal automatically takes their fee and credits the rest to your account. Even if there is a PayPal 21 day hold, you’ll still see a record of payment in your account.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

  1. Thank you, I am very new to this and was not sure if this was right. Please could you tell me if you know: When someone does send me a real payment from another country and I am in the UK, PayPal will automatically take the payment fees and I will see the reminding in my wallet? I have a business account if this makes a different. Again, thank you.
