Receiving money

The person who is sending me money says it was sent but I need to input a code for the money to be released. I'm not able to find where this code needs to go or even if this is correct. Thank you in advance for any assistance

Welcome to the PayPal Community Forum! Thank you for reaching out on this one. You shouldn't need to input any kind of code to have a transaction released to your PayPal account. All you usually need to receive money is a confirmed email address or mobile number.
