Permanently locked out of account after selling ps5

I just sold my ps5 on the 1st, I had to wait until Monday the 3rd to ship it as it was the weekend. Though when I put my tracking number into PayPal since I'm a first time seller and it asked for info about it, They just permanently lock my account saying that my activity was against guidelines. I only used this account to buy stuff for games, or to order stuff off of amazon or Newegg. I'm just not quite sure what I could have done wrong, especially since the last thing I got on the account before selling was over a month ago on may 1st.
Any help would be immensely appreciated, I could really use the money from the ps5. I have all the proof I need that I shipped everything and it was all done through swappa.com, which I have bought from before, using the exact same PayPal account, and since you have to sell using PayPal, everyone else on the website is doing it just fine.

Especially annoying since I've been using it with my games for almost 2 years, it would just be a pain to lose it over something like this.

Thank you,

Marcus

That would not be the reason for the ban unless you sold and accepted payment using the friends/family option?

However you can rarely appeal a permanent ban but if you want to try an appeal then contact customer services.

They 'may' pass it to the back office but the chances of the appeal being successful are slim. Paypal state that the decision is not made lightly and once made is usually final.

Well yea it doesn't seem like a reason for ban to me either, I can prove that I haven't done more then that either. I appealed but It probably wont matter. Will i at least get my money out of it? They say it will take 6 months but I don't see much of a reason to trust them on that. I'm not really feeling much trust with this place after this, so I just wanna make sure

Well if everyone sold and accepted payment via friends/family (negating their buyer protection) then Paypal would not be able to run the service or pay their staff would they. So if you do use that option and are caught out then yes you have broken their rules and may well get a ban.

You should get your funds out after 180 days as long as the account is in your legal name and you are over 18. Also that you haven't broken their acceptable use policy.

Oh alrighty, thanks for the second bit of info there, I only ever gave someone money with that account through the family method once, because I mostly used the account to buy stuff in games. Thanks for all your help though
