I was using my PayPal for couple years and I just wanted to change my name. To change it I had to show my ID and I was 2 months until 18. So I got limited permanently. I wonder why I can't use my PayPal now ? It was almost two years ago.

Paypal does not allow account holders under the age of 18.

PayPal asks for a birth date when you register so whilst you can make a PayPal account with false information the account will need to be verified to accept funds into your balance or lift any limits.
As you would be unable to verify your account it would be permanently locked for further use.

You would never be able to use that illegally opened underage account again but once 18 Paypal may allow you to open a new account. Opening a new account is not guaranteed as you have already broken their rules once so check with customer services first.

Secondly you have to have your legal name on your paypal account, you can't use nicknames etc, if you do then again it would be permanently banned.

Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Thank you for a reply. Well, some time ago it was indeed possible to use an unverified account and use a nickname. I was recieving/withdrawing money while my name was Gold Cobra 😄 Yes, seems like I entered my false age during registration, that is why I was able to use it, but I never verified using my ID. Once I did, to change that nickname to my real name, I got banned. Now I can't delete my email/bank so that I could create a new paypal. I understand that I violated policy, but that doesen't seem fair to me - PayPal was letting me to use my account and once I turned 18 now, It would be nice to get rid of permanent ban..
