Paypal transferred money from my bank without permission

Paypal has transferred $299.97 from my bank account to my paypal account without my authorisation. It is pending in my paypal app as 3 transactions of $99.99 each. I have not made these transfers. Am I being scammed? Can I get the money back into my account when it eventually goes into my paypal?

Be careful a hacker has not added their paypal information to your account so that they can withdraw the funds or send them once they get into your balance.

Change your password and security questions.

Run a virus and anti-malware scan on your computer.

Contact customer services.

Inform your linked card or bank issuers so that they can keep an eye on your account for suspicious activity.

Then withdraw them back to your bank account once they hit your balance.

Also check there are no added addresses / banks / email addresses or anything else added to your paypal account.

Thank you so much. I am having trouble changing my password on paypal it keeps saying my password is incorrect and won’t let me change it. I got an email saying my paypal was trusting a computer that isn’t mine so I removed them. Do you think they can alstill access my paypal even though I’ve removed them?

Thank you so much for your help! I contacted PayPal this morning and they have filed a dispute claim for me.
