I made a payment via paypal (in 2019) for a deposit Travel Company.  This holiday is no longer going ahead and the travel company won't refund me, can paypal help or issue a refund for me?

Unfortunately buyer protection with Paypal is only up to 180 days.

Travel insurance would cover it if you took it out?
