PayPal took my money when I sent product and proof of delivery

I had a buyer purchase an item from me through EBay.  They provided a wrong shipping address.  3 weeks later, the buyer told me that they did not receive their item.  I contacted the post office, and they had left it at the door of the wrong address.  They retrieved the item and returned it to me.  I contacted EBay to see how to handle this.  Ebay told me to do one of two things:  1 - Refund the buyer their money less shipping as they provided the wrong address, or 2 - have the buyer send me money for shipping, and then I could ship the product again.  I offer both options to the buyer, and they selected to pay me money to reship the item once I received the item back from the post office.  Prior to they paying me the shipping - this buyer went onto Ebay and left me negative feedback...which blows my mind because I did nothing wrong.

I had emailed the buyer asking them for their email so that I could send them an invoice through PayPal for the shipping fees.  I also told the buyer to make sure that their address was correct as I purchase shipping through EBay and/or PayPal.  When the buyer paid through PayPal, I printed out the shipping labels and resent their merchandise.  The next day, the buyer tells me that I again sent it to the wrong address.  I told them I shipped it to the address they have populated into PayPal.

They filed a dispute with PayPal, and PayPal returned their money.  So, I am out the money for shipping - not once, but twice, I am out the money they paid for the product, and I am out the cost of the product, which shows that it was shipped and delivered to the address on their paypal account.  I am furious.  I followed the protocols Ebay told me to do, and PayPal just does not care.  How can I dispute and appeal this?

Then, PayPal HELD UP 8 of my next payments because of this dispute...which is not right... I SENT THE PRODUCT TO THE CUSTOMER...  It is not right … I am beyond angry, and I am ready to tell PayPal to shove their product.   Can someone give me any advice to retrieve my money or my product?

There should be two transactions then (one for original order and one for the reship postage). They filed PayPal disputes on both? Don't know how you would lose the reship postage dispute because you sent to the address on the reship postage payment and it is presumably different but corrected, from the original shipping address, yes?

This seems like some kind error in the ruling, I'd call PayPal customer service to have a dispute specialist review the cases:

Click HELP on top menu, scroll down to click CONTACT US, and then scroll down to click CALL US.

Call early, during business hours, west coast time to try to get a US rep.

Or private message via social media:

Facebook (US): https://www.facebook.com/paypal

Twitter (US): @AskPayPal

What is problematic is that the buyer can file INR on the first payment and win a refund because tracking does not show delivery.

But the reshipment postage payment transaction should at least be ruled in your favor as the item was shipped to the address that's on the payment they sent. Where the addresses the same on both payments since the buyer is claiming you sent to wrong address, yet again. ::shrugs::

In the future, should this ever happen again with a buyer who put wrong address, is to issue refund minus the original shipping when the item is returned back to you and if the buyer wants the item, they'll have to resend the entire payment again.

But again contact customer service and have a human review the case, perhaps PayPal will extend you a courtesy refund depending on account history and how you approach the subject to the agent as in discussing the facts of the case in calm manner, being objective and taking emotion out of it.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
