I picked up my tablet and saw chrome was open at [removed] It wasn't a email or message that's the browser page that I didn't search for. Never seen this before. Its supposedly a Paypal/Amex $1000 giveaway.  Links at bottom of page to not work. Is this legit? How was page open and I didn't open it? Is my tablet sick?

Hello @last_rebel

Welcome back to the PayPal Community!

I'm sorry to hear about the concerning website that was showing when you opened your tablet. The giveaway you mentioned is not one that PayPal is currently offering, which leads me to believe the website was phishing. It may have been opened as an accidentally clicked advertisement on another website. However, to be on the safe side, I recommend completing a virus and malware scan on your tablet. If there's malware on the device, it could open websites automatically.

If you logged into your PayPal account or any account on your device after clicking on the links on the website, please reset your password on a different device. If you don't have a different device, wait until you've completed the virus and malware scan. Clicking on potentially harmful links could download viruses or malware if they weren't there before. If you'd like to learn more about phishing attempts, please visit our Help Center here.

I hope this helps!
