My account is permanently limited, and I have some funds.

MY account was permanently banned long back and I recently opened because I had funds there. Earlier I was in US, but now I moved to Canada. I had a call with paypal and they gave me a ticket number and informed I will get an email within 32 hours regarding the transfer of my paypal balance via mail.

But its been more than 3 days and I have received nothing. I tried contacting them, and the AI bot won't let me connect to any paypal customer representative. Its looping with every possible options. Do they banned my phone number from contacting?

If you have been told your Paypal account has been permanently limited then Paypal tends to hold any funds for 180 days. This is the same time frame that buyers have to open Paypal disputes.

If no disputes are opened in 180 days then normally you are allowed to withdraw the funds. That is as long as you are over 18, account is in your legal name and the account is registered in the country where you reside.

Sometimes they confiscate funds under this policy.

Paypal also may request further documentation from you before you can withdraw those funds.

You can normally withdraw via any linked bank account / card already on your permanently limited account. I don't think you can add a funding source to that account.

So your best option is to contact customer services.

Contact options for Paypal are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages...

1. Paypal phones (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out.
Or
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a private direct message via Social Media on Facebook, Twitter/X, or Instagram pages.

Thank you for the response.

I did contact them via phone call. I had conversation with Paypal for over 1 hour and they agreed to transfer the case to Paypal Canada and send me an email of confirmation. But I have not received any emails till date.

I asked them for a ticket number before hanging up the call as I did not want to explain everything again and again. I got a ticket number, however, I am not sure where to look for updates with ticket number because there is nothing in my resolution centre.

So, I called them but the AI bot is not providing me option to talk with customer representative. It is looping with same options over and over. Is it normal to block customers by Paypal?

Anyways, I will try to contact them on social medias.
