My New Business Paypal Account is restricted

Hi Community

 

I just created a new PayPal Business Account for my newly established business in UAE. However, PayPal marked my account as limited after I provided my identity document for verification (UAE Resident Card). Any idea why would that be and how to resolve this? I'm finding no option anywhere to reach out to PayPal support to inquire about the issue. Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.

You say you opened a new business account do you mean new as in your first account or do you have two business accounts?

If so then that may be the reason as you are only allowed x2 accounts if x1 is personal and the other x1 is business.

 

If it was a documentation issue then you would need to sort that would customer services.

It's my first business account with PayPal for my business. I do have one personal account as well. So that's why I believe there is some misunderstanding somewhere that needs to be clarified. 

However, no matter what I do, I am not able to get hold of their Support rep (neither able to open a case from support center as there are not transaction in the account). On help line as well it's a robot speaking with some limited options.

If you get the bot when you phone try saying 'agent' a few times?
