Kicked out of my account/verification

I went to login to PayPal this morning, and I got a message saying that I had to have a verification code sent to my cellphone. My cellphone is currently having issues (its a very old flip phone, I live in a hilly / forested / rural part of the country, and it never works right in bad weather, which I'm having today), and I kept clicking the resend verification button (mainly out of frustration), and now I am locked out of my account. The only options the PayPal website offered me are a 1800 number and this community; I really don't want to call the number because, well, my cellphone isn't working right and in this weather I couldn't maintain a longer call without getting disconnected, and I don't have a landline... so, is it possible for me to have my account turned back to normal without calling? Or am I just going to have to say goodbye to it?

Contact options for Paypal are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.

1. Paypal phones when available (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out.
Or
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPal and @AskPayPal for Twitter.
