JMPC RE PAYPAL INTL LTD took £18.37 from account and set up a direct debit. I logged into PayPal, saw a purchase made in the US. I did not make this purchase but still money was taken out. I don't think PayPal is still safe anymore. I wonder if there are better products out there to use than PayPal. It's not a lot of money but it was mine and so gutted. Spent an hour to my bank disputing this, they said take it up with PayPal and if not resolved to come bank to them so they can dispute it on my behalf. It's so stressful and frustrating to go through such an experience 😤

JPMC RE PAYPAL INTL = JPMorgan Chase. It's a payment taken from your bank to fund a purchase if you have no balance in your PayPal account. It's the default setting if you have a bank account on file with PayPal. You can't fund a payment from your bank account without a direct debit being set up.
