I was locked out of my account after submitting my Photo ID.

When I signed in to my account, I was told to send in a Photo ID.

When I submitted my Photo ID, i received a notification that I couldn't use PayPal anymore, even though I barely used it.

I don't know what I did against the User Agreement that caused my account to be locked,

I am 18 years old and I started this account today.

This is the notification I received:

Because of potential risk exposure, we've permanently limited your account. You'll no longer be able to use the account for any transactions.

You can rarely appeal a permanent ban but if you want to try an appeal then contact customer services.

They 'may' pass it to the back office but the chances of the appeal being successful are slim. Paypal state that the decision is not made lightly and once made is usually final.

Same here, I used PayPal for 3 years. Today, I thought it was a good idea to submit my ID card, and it turned out to be the worst decision I've made. They immediately locked my account with the reason 'not old enough' even though I am 23yo, this is so ridiculous

The point may be were you under 18 when you opened that paypal account?

Ofc not, I'm currently 23, used PayPal for 3 years, which means I opened my PayPal account when I was 20. If I were under 18, how could I have had a Visa debit to open Paypal account then?

Well lots of folks get banned for opening minor accounts underage as not every country requires you add a bank and lots of countries allow bank accounts or cards at 16.

If it wasn't an illegally opened minor account then appeal?
