There is no buyer protection using the friends/family option and so you need to carefully check the information before you send any funds. Unfortunately as it was a 'gift' of money then paypal can't force the recipient to refund. Have you reached out to the 'wrong' email address and requested that they refund the funds explaining it was an error?
If they refuse then your only other option if and only if you funded that paypal payment via a credit card is to contact your card issuer and see if they will chargeback for you. However as it was a gift payment and not a payment for goods/services then they 'may' decline as well unfortunately. Worth trying though.
