I paid for a merchandise as family & friends.

I paid for a merchandise as family & friends requested by the seller. Once paid, seller is not responding to my messages. Is there a way to get payment back? As I am not covered by Buyer Protection.

I understand your concern in regards to the payment sent, please avoid making a friends and family payment for the person whom you don't know personally. In this case, please contact the card issuer or bank and file a dispute.
