I just been ripped off... $126 was withdrawn from my account without my authorization. I informed PP the day it happened and asked PP to stop the transaction. They did not, the transaction completed and after 5 days I was informed by PP that the lost was not covered as the activity was deemed normal.  They tell me to appeal if I do not the PP decision.  The appeal steps quoted to take are none existing.  PP states that to re-open the CASE, they need additional information.  I have no proof as I did not make any transactions nor who took the money.

You are not covered if the hack came from a 3rd party site or you clicked a fake link in an email or you had a virus on your computer etc.

Paypal check IP addresses and history before making their decision.

If you want to appeal then contact customer services?

I have applied for appeal...nothing - no response....  The real problem was that I informed PayPal when the transaction occurred and not to honor the withdrawal... they ignored my request.  The card involved that was entered and then quickly deleted off my account - well,  It is/was a none existing bank.

Paypal can't ''stop'' a processing payment.

If the bank/card you withdrew the funds to was non existent then they should bounce back to your paypal balance.

Allow 5-7 business days.
