I recently joined a Discord server. I wanted to enroll as a translator there. I was asked to deposit money in case of an exit scam. I sent $750, and after I told the owner I do not want to work and want a refund, he's been having 'issues' sending the money back. He's a scammer committing fraud. I have signed an Agreement with him that requires him to refund me or in that case I get PayPal's Resolution Department involved. Can I get my money refunded?
"This is for digital goods. I have already received what I paid for, and I understand and agree that this is nonrefundable. I agree that I will not initiate a chargeback/dispute under any circumstances. I am fully aware that making any attempt to chargeback this payment is considered fraud and is against the seller's policy." this note was sent with the money, but according to our agreement: "Preservation of Refund Rights: Notwithstanding any note or email sent with the Deposit, the Depositor retains the right to request a refund from the Recipient at any given moment IF AND ONLY IF the conditions for the return of the Deposit as outlined in Article Three (3) are met. If the Recipient does not comply with the refund request within fourteen (14) business days, the Depositor may initiate a dispute with PayPal." I have proof of him signing and the conversation afterwards.
I need my money back please. He's a scammer stealing money from people. He has multiple PayPal accounts.
Another thing to mention is that I sent an email to the owner, he has multiple PayPal accounts it seems. The message to him reads:
"Dear, please note that the Enhanced Security Deposit Agreement ("Agreement") is now enacted. It was signed by XXXXXXXXXXX yesterday on the day of the 7th July, 2024, on your behalf.Please follow the contents of it in its entirety to avoid any disputes.The full document is attached to this email. Best regards." along with the document attached."
I need my money back, will I be able to get it? I opened a dispute. The seller has deleted his channel on his server with all the evidence but luckily I screenshotted it. My question is... What are the chances I will get refunded by PayPal?
