I had a dispute with a transaction I made for good though paypal. This dispute is still open on my account however I need it to be closed to receive the refund from the vendor. It has been resolved by my bank but PayPal will not close it. How do I close an open dispute?

Hello @Lindsays22,
Thank you for your post, and welcome to the Community! That's a great question. Generally, we do not recommend closing a dispute for a couple of reasons. First, refunds can still be issued with an open dispute. It's also important to note that once a dispute has been closed, it cannot be reopened. Lastly, if you filed a chargeback with your bank, then the case would not be closed until PayPal receives an update from the bank. I hope this helps clear up this situation!
Take care,
- Celeste
