Help for Locked Account

My son's Paypal account was hacked and he had to change the email address.  But for the past 7 weeks he has been unable to access the funds or add funds to the account.  He has called Paypal numerous times and submitted his ID documents and they keep saying that it is under review and will be fixed soon.  He does gig work like me and gets payments through Paypal.  It is extremely frustrating that he keeps getting the runaround from Paypal.  Any suggestions as to how to escalate the issue so his account can be unlocked?

Contact customer services for an update but to be honest it takes as long as it takes.

Contact options for each countries Paypal customer services are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.

1. Paypal phones (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, (during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out).
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a private direct message via Social Media on Facebook, Twitter/X, or Instagram pages.
