A buyer has bought a handmade item from me and believed it didn't look the same as the photo (it wouldn't because it's handmade) but wanted to return. I decided to let them return it because it seemed easier than having to go through a dispute and end up losing money anyway. Now after a month I haven't received it back and they're saying royal mail have said its been delivered. But I haven't received anything. I really don't want to have to give a refund when they open a dispute because I haven't received the item and no evidence that it was posted back to me.

If they open a dispute and win then paypal normally will require them to provide a tracking number proving delivery of the item to you before you have to refund.
