Fraud via F&F payment

Somebody just sent me 240€ with friends and family payment and now is asking for a refund They also sent a text message a few minutes before the payment that said "hi, because of an error in the email I gave you money. I ask you if you could send it back to me, at the same time I'm reporting you to PayPal" I think it was in German or something similar I was about to call the help center but it's late and it's closed, or I might go to the police idk What do I do?

Click on the transaction and issue a refund using the REFUND option !!!

Its an easy mistake to make, if someone makes a typo on an email address or mobile number then the payment may go to a wrong paypal account like yours.

Why would you not just want to refund? They are not asking you for money, only their own money back so why police !!!????

If it was sent using friends/family then you should not have paid a fee but check first on the 'detail' of the transaction and if you were charged a fee then just issue a part refund minus the fee element.
