Flagged Possible Fraudulent Sale

Hi,

 

I have a transaction via my Shopify store that was flagged as possible fraud and it said to check with the buyer. I emailed the buyer to verify the purchase and he said yes I purchased that item from your online store. The reason it was flagged was because he didn't enter the CVC number. Am I still liable for a charge back and how would you handle this type of transaction. Thank you!
