Faulty item

I received a faulty item, serum leaked out of the box. I emailed seller immediately, had no response for 2 weeks until I opened a PayPal dispute and requesting full refund. Now seller has told me another product has been sent. I didn't agree for a new one as I've lost confidence in the company. Any help please?

If you opened a dispute for item not as described then have you escalated it to a claim yet?

Only sending another item does not nullify the first claim as you are not citing non receipt of the item.

Yes I did escalate the dispute. The seller seemed to bribe me by saying I will get a refund but only if the dispute is closed. If I close dispute, I think the seller won't proceed with a refund. They don't seem to have yet responded to Paypal but now have emailed instead as if they don't want any responses seen by PayPal. They've asked for banking details to refund

Whether you give banking details or not is up to you, however do not close the dispute, the seller can easily refund and that would auto close the dispute.

However be aware paypal may tell you to return the item back to the seller first before they have to refund (trackable to prove delivery and at your own cost).
