I cancelled a product I ordered by mistake within 10 minutes of placing the order. I then received an email 4 hours later saying my order was being proceeded I again emailed to confirm cancellation again no reply. A further 3 hours passed and I received an email confirming shipping. EKOMM use the LTD as in limited company but are not in fact to use LTD in your firms title without being registered at companies house is illegal, PayPal acting as cashier for a fraudulent company (money laundering) I’m fighting for a full refund but just get lie after lie from EKOMM and no resolution from PayPal. Anyone else had the same problem?

I put an order for an air cooler.  I paid using Paypal and got an error message which made me repeat the entry only to get the same entry.  When I check Paypal both payments had gone through so I knew then its a product scam.  I then check online (should have done this first) to find others have been scammed.  I sent my cancellation email to their support email but expect no response.

GIVEN THE COMPLAINTS IS PAYPAL GOING TO SUPPORT AN OBVIOUS SCAMMER WITH THEIR PAYMENT SERVICES ?

DOES PAYPAL HAVE AN INVESTIGATION DEPARTMENT TO PROTECT YOUR CUSTOMERS ?

WHY DOES IT TAKE SO LONG TO REVERSE THESE PAYMENTS AS I ONLY MADE MINE 30 MINUTES AGO SO IT IS STILL IN PROCESS ?

Best to stop buying China tat from Social Media sites, by doing so you are supporting the scammers.

Paypals 'customers' are both the buyer AND the merchant, so they can't support both at the same time in the same claim. 

So they give you some buyer and some seller protection and then its up to you to risk assess your own transactions.

Paypal may be able to help you recover your funds from a bad seller but that is not guaranteed as its dependent on their buyer and seller protection policies which can never 100% protect both parties.

You can't 'reverse' a pending or completed payment, once you have clicked to pay then only the merchant can cancel your order and issue you with a refund.

A quick google search on company reviews would soon show you the sites to avoid.

I'm still living my nightmare with Ekomm Ltd, and I should say PayPal could have done better. Once customer immediately asks for cancellation it should be accorded, it's wrong to direct customer to buyer, when seller hasn't received Payment for goods or services. With XOOM MONEY TRANSFER PAYPAL ALLOWS YOU 30 MINUTES TO CANCEL TRANSACTIONS, HOW COME THEY CAN'T CANCEL MERCHANT TRANSACTIONS?

I ordered an item from them it's definitely a scam and PayPal seem to beon their side. I've looked further into their company and I'll be taking this up with the financial ombudsman and I will nit rest until I have my money back. Do not buy from this company. SCAM

Financial ombudsman has no jurisdiction over companies in China !!

If they are scam China sites on Social Media then avoid them.

Paypal doesn't select who you purchase from, its up to all of us to risk assess our own transactions after reading up on paypals buyer protection policy first to see what is and what is not covered.

I had the same issue, PayPal paid for my return ship, got a refund.  I'll never purchase without exploring this community, BBB or google reviews.  Lesson well learned.

Me too got me by a pop-up ad on September 8th added product onto an order that I didn't want contact them within 2 minutes literally on their website sent several emails they ignored every every communication and just shipped it anyway I told him correct and ship it or cancel it do not [Removed] it's a scam this is the second time different company that's happened to me this year I've been shopping 30 years online and twice already in this year it's an international scam where they add product or the order is wrong and they know the average consumer is not going to be able to afford to ship it back to product but mainly with this company who is try.tv-smart.co and Tech Trends is the website that I don't even know if that's legit where I got the popup for the ad for this try TV smart device but the horror about this situation is people see the 30-day make it right money back guarantee and the word try and there's no doubt my mind they're probably hundreds if not thousands going through the same thing I am when if you go to terms and conditions which I did before I bought but I just went to refunds and it stated to email customer service for a label and I thought okay I'll try it well to my horror total scam false advertising because the terms and conditions that 30-day make it right money back guarantee is invalid if you try the product or even open the box if you can believe that and they pump more on you because the more you buy the cheaper they are oh and they love that because someone who buys four five six of those things it'd be well over $1,000 to ship it back to China so they're leaving unsuspecting consumers with products they don't want and unable to afford to ship it back I just got done filing on the Federal trade commission international website a claim on them but try TV smartco is EKOMM SOCIETY LTD!!! I had another company that I just got done winning or they finally gave me my money back same identical situation pop up then the ad products you you said you didn't want you try to contact him they don't contact you they ignore you and they ship it anyway and in this case with TV smart in their terms they have it in the last one I refuse delivery but I got my $100 back after 8 months of hell with TV smart they State you can refuse delivery if you want but we're going to deduct it from any refund the the cost to ship it believe it or not they also charge a $5 to $35 restocking fee and a $15 cancellation fee why they didn't charge me $15 and cancel it is beyond me but I went to trust pilot I can't believe I was hardest for me to believe is I've been with PayPal for several years and I thought that PayPal did their due diligence in at least doing some sort of investigation regarding the retailers that they allowed to use their services for payment wow was I wrong I mean you think they could at least when a customer consumer goes to purchase a product with a potential scam retailer they'll bring some pop-up up in red or something warning you know before you make this purchase check retailer I don't know something like that would be great because now I find out that this company people have been writing about this ekomm society limited for from what I can see since 2023 at least this is my first time on here but now that I know I can't trust that PayPal has done any kind of investigation on who they allow to use their payment system I don't know but I'm pretty much done with online buying I mean it's just getting worse and worse I've been shopping online 30 years just went through 8 months of hell trying to get my hundred bucks back on another situation that was identical in the way it happened to this one I reported it to the Federal trade commission internationally but you know what I love it if they could help me get my $118.66 back the company wants me to ship it to China which is going to be $100 but what's horrifying about that in this situation is that you the package comes unmarked from a California address okay so you open the package I only wanted one they sent me two it was delivered in an unmarked van and my relay said it was left on top sitting on top of the garbage can outside so I opened the pack you can't even open the package you can't try the device although it's under a URL try TV smart with 30-day make it right money back guarantee and it appears that they're backing their product the fact is is they're not you can't even try it under that 30-day guarantee or even open the box and you can ship it back but it's to their discretion under their terms and conditions they give the consumer no rights whatsoever and they sell all kinds of [Removed] I've got an email after email want me to buy more [Removed] from them but it's too there's complete discretion but if it's open you're not going to get a full refund you'll get a store credit or some other garbage so hopefully the Federal trade commission or at the very least PayPal since they should be aware of it will help me get my money back but I doubt it since I just found out that PayPal and the PayPal community is known about this since 2023 thank you very much

I did exactly the same with emailing and cancelling. The product has come and it's not what they say it is. It's rubbish, I have asked about sending back and they said I have fund shipping costs to China. When I ordered it the company was is Germany
