Got this email today: The case was closed because this transaction is ineligible for PayPal's Buyer Protection. The story is, made an order with Ring, nearly 3 months ago, around £3000, security cameras. Item came some were damaged. Contacted Ring. Got told as I bought in bundles - have to send all back to get refund, they can’t replace or refund damaged ones. Provided all info with Ring, serial numbers etc, they gave me a label to return. Returned it and saw it had been delivered. Contacts ring, got told they have got it but as I have returned an order last year they can’t refund me as it’s one refund per account, despite that being my daughters account last year. Ups tracking shows “no information available now” contacted ups got an email confirmed delivered however issue with tracking external system doesn’t show this… got told ring need to contact them but they won’t listen. Got told by ring contact PayPal or your bank. Made a claim with PayPal, been 1.5 months chasing PayPal, Thursday came called a woman she said.. I’m going to give 2 days for seller to reply if they don’t will be closed in my favour, said that big companies don’t reply especially during busy times so will get money back. Two days came nothing, been chasing up all days until today got an email saying: The case was closed because this transaction is ineligible for PayPal's Buyer Protection. and it’s been rejected. Don’t understand how this can be, makes zero sense. Called up again today was told, a ticket has been made to get back office to reopen, but they said they not sure if this can be. How is item damaged and returning like being told by merchant considered not a buyer protection. This an absolute joke. Please give advice
