Hello I run a small local community, not for profit association. We have a club and society bank account and have had a Paypal account for several years however today I have been asked to verify the account and among other items, I have been asked to provide a 'government tax exemption'. No such thing exists in the UK and we are not a registered charity as our turnover is too small. I have sent our Act of Incorporation but that doesn't seem to satisfy whoever checks the steps. I am at the end of my tether as we have had legitimate donations which we need to process and can't be moved. I may be reporting it to the local media if we are unable to access those funds. Any advice?
