Chat gave me wrong advice and now my account is permanently limited!

Hi, So i have been going back and forth with the chat yesterday because they limited my account after my brother sent me some personal funds.
For some reason Paypal is by default treating the money transfer as a commercial transaction (they've prompted me to provide invoices and other documents). I explained the situation to the chat and they said to just go ahead and provide any documents that i can provide (including my ID) and they will place an explanatory note on my file. I did just that and now my account is permanently limited? Like really? How can I resolve that? It makes absolutely no sense.

The friends/family ie personal gift payment option is not available in your country so all funds sent are sent as for payment for either goods or services.

Your best bet would have been to ....

Create a Word Doc or pdf explaining why you do not have the requested information. Once you have created this, you should be able to upload it to resolve this step. It is not guaranteed that it will be accepted, but providing this will allow the step to be resolved and once all steps have been completed, the account will move into review.

Contact customer services and appeal...
Click help / contact bottom left of Paypal pages for options available for your country.

Or have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPal and @AskPayPal for Twitter.
