I signed up for a 7 day trial for $10 with a website called OMO that bills under Actitech limited. However when logging onto my paypal, I found that on Feb 6 they had not only charged the $10 but another $48 transaction that was not authorized on the very same day. Upon logging into my account on OMO only the $10 7 day trial was showing in my console as a subscription and the 3 month membership was not set to charge until Wed, Feb 14.
Given that this charge was made in an unauthorized manner in addition to the agreed $10 I have now cancelled my membership and reported the charge with paypal.
(This post has been edited only to reupload the screenshot that was likely deleted because my full name and transaction number was included. It is now redacted)

A lot of times what happens is people accept a free trial for a product and forget to cancel. As a buyer you must agree to a billing agreement/subscription before a merchant can take a payment from your PayPal account.
If you don't notice during checkout OR don't cancel then it auto renews. Be careful what you are accepting.
Check if you had a subscription set up and cancel it?
Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > "manage pre-approved payments.''
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Hi kernowlass, thanks for the information.
Has the PayPal user interface been updated? I cannot find a "manage pre-approved payments" option, I did see "my subscriptions" and found that there are none listed. Does this mean this payment is not defined as a subscription?
Thanks!

I reported this to PayPal and within 12 hours I got an email saying they wouldn’t help me. Guess I’ll use Apple Pay from now on

They won't help if you had a subscription set up as when the merchant applies for the funds they are duty bound to pay it for you as per your subscription request.
