Charged twice for 4 transactions?

I have been charged twice for 4 transactions. The money was taken from my account but also from my balance. The balance went negative and so I topped up the funds to correct it, but the money was also taken directly from my account. The balance has not been corrected since, and is showing a balance of 0.00GBP even though if the purchases were taken from my account the balance should be positive. Paypal's help system is running me around in circles and I don't know what to do. I am down over 100GBP and can't seem to talk to a person to resolve the issue. Is it a case of waiting for balance to properly reflect itself?

I have a very similar case. For my shopping from Shein on the 26th of March, I have been charged twice by PayPal for 4 different transactions/orders. I see that for each order the specified amounts were deduced on the 29th of March from my bank account. This is not visible on my PayPal account, it seems like the transactions were done only once.
Previously for Shein, I connected my PayPal account once, which is connected to my bank account and also to my credit card for automatic payments. I would choose to use my credit card but I dont even remember being able to chose this for these transactions. I expect that I would be charged through my credit card, but I see by surprise that the amounts were deduced from my direct debit and twice. This feels quite unsafe for me. Now I can’t even make a claim with my bank as it is not a mistake on my credit card but directly on my bank account. I hope that it is a mistake by PayPal and that I would be refunded for these double transactions from my Bank account. Furtheremore, there seems to be no way of contacting a real agent to ask for a solution, so I am using this community platform. I hope the responsible people are also revising these messages to help us.
