Changed PayPal Nationality and Got my Account Permanently Limited

Hello, everyone!

Yesterday, I got an email from PayPal asking me to reupload my documents. I did exactly so, but then I noticed that my nationality is set to Bulgarian.

For context, I am an immigrant living in Bulgaria, but my nationality is Russian. So, assuming that the information was incorrect, I changed the nationality field to Russian, which I guess was a mistake because, after three hours, I got an email from PayPal saying that my account was permanently limited(Even though the document I uploaded to prove my identity was a Bulgarian ID card).

Now, I have found a community post saying that your nationality is actually the place where you currently live. So, my silly mistake has cost me my income, which feels unfortunate and wrong.

Is there a way for me to restore my account? Note: In-app PayPal support refused to elaborate on the issue, and their hotline simply did not answer my phone call.

Thanks for your help in advance, everybody!

The only paypal folks on this forum are the moderators and they will tell you the same, that you have to contact customer services.

However as its a permanent ban it can rarely be appealed so you may not be able to contact them as you are no longer a customer of theirs unfortunately.

Kudos / Solution appreciated.

I have already tried to contact PayPal's support from the in-app email service. Did not get any meaningful response, unfortunately.

Thank you for your response, anyway! Hope that somebody from PayPal sees this.
